Objective

This project focuses on creating visually engaging designs and animations to enhance the user experience at our stations while staying true to our brand. From looping screensavers to interactive touchpoints, we aim to capture attention and guide users seamlessly. Key features include an Interactive Catalogue, a 360° Rotating Product Station, and a Touchscreen Ordering Station. We'll also produce promotional videos to strengthen brand presence in-store and beyond.

Apparels

"Following the completion of our branding efforts, the subsequent phase involves transferring the design onto a variety of products and apparel. This stage is pivotal for solidifying our brand's identity and fostering recognition within our target audience. Our wide selection of merchandise spans from hoodies and boots to cups and so on, all unified by a consistent tone and style to maintain brand cohesion."

INTERACTIVE RETAIL INSTALLATION

This project centers around an interactive retail installation with three tech-driven stations that enhance the customer journey. We’ll develop a fictional outdoor apparel brand and design each station to reflect its identity. Our focus includes motion graphics, GSAP animations, station design, and promotional videos, with photography enriching the visual storytelling.

THE PROCESS - INTERACTIVE CATALOGUE STATION

As users approach, they’re greeted by three products and a large screen displaying an animated screensaver with instructions and product highlights. The screensaver uses clear visuals to guide users through the interaction. By picking up a product, a light sensor activates, revealing a catalogue-style screen with related items. Users are then prompted to press a button to view the featured product screen. The station includes three catalogue and three product highlight screens, enabling smooth navigation. Returning the product resets the screen to the catalogue view, making the interaction intuitive and engaging while deepening the user’s connection with the brand.

THE PROCESS - ROTATING PRODUCT STATION

This station offers a 360° immersive product experience. It begins with a detailed photoshoot—24 high-quality, color-corrected shots of the backpack—to create smooth rotational visuals. As users approach, a dynamic screensaver displays product highlights and interaction instructions. Using hand gestures above a Leap Motion controller, users can rotate the product left or right. At four stop-points, schematic videos highlight key features. Swiping up reveals additional feature videos, while swiping down returns to the rotation. Each stop includes four highlight videos, deepening engagement and interactivity.

THE PROCESS - TOUCHSCREEN ORDERING STATION

This intuitive kiosk lets users browse, customize, and finalize purchases before printing a receipt for cashier checkout. The project began with model photoshoots featuring three unique outfits per male figure, with each look segmented into headgear, tops, bottoms, and footwear for mix-and-match flexibility. Upon activation, users see a fashion-focused motion graphic with animated instructions. They can select items, choose sizes and colors, add to cart, and print a receipt. A guided, animated checkout ensures a smooth handoff to the cashier for payment.

THE DELIVERABLE

The entire journey was documented and condensed into a brief video, incorporating screen recordings that showcase various screens from the stations. This video serves as a comprehensive overview of the entire project, encapsulating its essence in a succinct format.
